ATTESA: CITIZEN’s next generation watch brand since its launch in 1987.

Incorporating titanium-processing know-how and world-first technology to continue exceeding expectations and achieving innovation.

history

1987:
ATTESA is Born.

Making its debut, the Attesa encapsulates CITIZEN’s titanium-processing know-how and foregrounds the
inherent qualities of titanium: corrosion resistance, lightness and comfort on the skin.

1995:
From Solar-Powered to "Eco-Drive"

As the world's first multi-hand calendar solar watch, the Citizen uses a secondary lithium battery to achieve a driving time of more than 2 months.
From an ecological point of view, the light-powered watch, expected to have future potential, began sales promotions in order to spread the word around the world under
the universal name of "Eco-Drive".

In 1996, Citizen becomes the first watch to qualify and be certified as an Eco Mark product.

1999:
The first "Eco-Drive"Radio-Controlled watch

Released as a solar-powered radio-controlled watch for Europe with Japanese specifications and combined with "Eco-Drive", Citizen eliminates the need for frequent time adjustment
and battery replacement. Introduced as a new generation watch, it automatically set the standard for keeping time without adjustment.

2003:
A full metal case that breaks common sense

Adopting world's first technology that receives radio waves despite its full-metal case construction. Despite its thin size,
it offers a water resistance of up to 100M/10bar, and it features improved robustness to create more luxurious design.
Introduced as a new generation watch, it automatically set the standard for keeping time without adjustment.

2005:
Radio-Controlled meets surface hardening technology

From the entire case (including the back cover) to the top of the band, each piece is DLC processed, making it approximately
8 to 10 times harder than titanium (approximately 1,000 to 1,400 Vickers), resistant to scratches, and has a beautiful shine and finish.
Achieving an exterior that lasts longer.

2006:
The world's first radio-controlled with Citizen's proprietary technology

A model equipped with a "3-hand, disc type day & date (day of the week & date)" function is released, featuring simple, high visibility and ease of use
that allow the wearer to see the time, date, and day at a glance.

Grasp the time of the world with a simple operation of pulling the crown and setting the city
